A grand-slam homer by Dave May climaxed a five-run rally in the ninth inning and brought the Brewers a 7-3 victory over the Royals. Joe Lahoud singled to drive in the first run and, after an intentional pass to Pedro Garcia loaded the bases, May smashed his homer off Bruce Dal Canton, who was the Royals' third pitcher of the inning, following Ken Wright and Gene Garber.
