The White Sox smashed three homers in support of Wilbur Wood, who scattered seven hits and shut out the Red Sox, 5-0. A walk to Pat Kelly, single by Carlos May and infield out by Dick Allen produced the first run in the third inning before Bill Melton added two more with a homer.
