Al Oliver drove in six runs with two homers, including a grand slam, to lead the Pirates' 17-hit attack in a 14-5 trouncing of the Giants. Oliver's first homer followed a single by Manny Sanguillen in the first inning. Gary Matthews dropped a line drive by Bob Robertson in the second and Milt May singled. After the next two batters struck out, singles by Dave Cash and Manny Sanguillen produced one run before Oliver connected for his jackpot wallop.
