In the sixth, Bob Bailey doubled, Boots Day walked and Ron Hunt singled to load the bases. Jack Billingham, who drew his first loss of the season after four victories, hit Tim Foli with a pitch to force in the first run. Another scored on an infield out by Mike Jorgensen.
