Vida Blue and Rollie Fingers combined on a four-hitter and pitched the Athletics to a 4-3 victory over the Rangers. Blue was lifted in the seventh inning when leadoff man Vic Harris homered for only the third hit off his deliveries. The A's scored in each of the first four frames, getting their deciding run in the fourth on a triple by Bert Campaneris and sacrifice fly by Joe Rudi. [The Sporting News]
