The Dodgers exploded for nine runs in the fourth inning in the N. L.'s biggest scoring stanza of the season so far and trounced the Giants, 15-3. Joe Ferguson homered with two men on base during the outburst and Davey Lopes, who batted twice, also accounted for three with a homer and single.

Ferguson finished the game with four RBIs. Ron Cey and Willie Davis each had four of the Dodgers' 20 hits. Cey drove in five runs, while Davis scored four times. The Dodger hit and run totals represented their season highs. [The Sporting News]
