Breaking up a scoreless duel, designated hitter Orlando Cepeda drove in a run with a single in the 11th inning to give the Red Sox a 1-0 victory over the Orioles, who were shut out for the seventh time in 31 games this season. Mario Guerrero beat out an infield hit to open the 11th. Carl Yastrzemski sacrificed and, after an intentional pass to Reggie Smith, Cepeda ended the game with his single. [The Sporting News]
