John Lowenstein scored one run and drove in another to enable the Indians to defeat the Brewers, 2-1, to end their string of 10 straight losses in Milwaukee County Stadium dating back to June 2, 1971. Lowenstein singled in the second inning and crossed the plate on a single by Chris Chambliss and sacrifice fly by Frank Duffy. Dave Duncan was hit by a pitch in the sixth and counted the deciding run on a double by Lowenstein. [The Sporting News]
