Bill Singer extended his personal winning streak to six games by pitching the Angels to a 7-1 victory over the Rangers. Frank Robinson, Singer's former Dodger teammate, started the Angels' scoring with a two-run homer in the first inning. After the Rangers picked up their lone tally in the second on a double by Jeff Burroughs and single by Vic Harris, the Angels came back in their half with the remaining five runs.
