Dave Duncan smashed two homers and John Ellis hit one as the Indians snapped their three-game losing streak by defeating the Yankees, 6-4. Duncan's first homer of the game was good for three runs in the first inning, coming after singles by George Hendrick and Charlie Spikes. The Indians' catcher followed with a solo swat in the third and on Fritz Peterson's next pitch, Ellis also hit for the circuit. [The Sporting News] |
