In his first start since his May 15 no-hitter against the Royals, Nolan Ryan added three more hitless innings to his string before it was broken, but the Angels' righthander easily defeated the Rangers, 9-1. The Rangers bunched a double by Mike Epstein and singles by Jeff Burroughs and Vic Harris for their run in the fourth.
