After scoring their first three runs on homers off Fergie Jenkins, the Expos added a tally in the 11th inning to defeat the Cubs, 4-3. Ken Singleton, Bob Bailey and Mike Jorgensen rapped the Expos' round-trippers. Rick Monday homered with a man on base for the Cubs.

Jack Aker was on the mound in relief in the 11th when Ron Hunt singled and Mike Marshall walked. Dave LaRoche relieved and on his second pitch, Ron Fairly singled to drive in the winning run. [The Sporting News]
