The Indians packed all their scoring in the first four innings, capping their attack with a two-run double by George Hendrick, to defeat the Rangers, 9-7. The Rangers scored three runs in each of the first two innings to take a 6-3 lead before the Indians erupted for four runs in the third.

Singles by Charlie Spikes and Hendrick, around a walk to Dave Duncan, produced the first tally. After Tom Ragland was hit by a pitch to load the bases, Frank Duffy drove in two runs with a single and Buddy Bell added a marker with another single. [The Sporting News]
