Tom Bradley helped himself by driving in two runs with a single in the second inning and Tito Fuentes added a homer in the sixth to enable the Giants to defeat the Mets, 3-2. Bradley, who allowed only four hits, was lifted with two out in the eighth after a single by Ken Boswell. Sam McDowell relieved and retired the last four straight batters. [The Sporting News]
