Capping a four-run rally in the eighth inning, Bob Oliver homered with two men on base to bring the Angels a 7-6 victory over the Red Sox. Vada Pinson, Leroy Stanton and Frank Robinson singled for one run before Oliver crashed his homer. Dave Sells saved the victory for the Angels, inducing Rico Petrocelli to hit into a game-ending double play after relieving with the bases loaded and one out in the ninth. [The Sporting News]
