Richie Hebner batted in four runs with a double, homer and sacrifice fly to lead the Pirates' attack in a 9-7 victory over the Reds. Willie Stargell and Manny Sangulllen also homered for the Pirates, who started their scoring with five runs in the third inning, including two on Hebner's double and two on Stargell's homer. Sanguillen and Hebner hit for the circuit in succession in the fifth. Sanguillen tripled and Hebner lofted his sacrifice fly for one of the Pirates' final two tallies in the seventh.
