With Jerry Bell pitching a three-hitter, the Brewers defeated the White Sox, 7-1, to complete the sweep of the three-game series. Bell gave up a homer by Carlos May in the first inning, but yielded only a pair of singles by Ed Herrmann thereafter. The Brewers came back in their half of the first with two runs on a single by Don Money, walk to George Scott and singles by Johnny Briggs and Darrell Porter. Briggs hit a homer in the seventh.
