A three-run rally in the ninth inning brought the Royals a 5-4 victory over the Indians. Paul Schaal singled and Gail Hopkins walked to start the comeback. After Kurt Bevacqua bunted into a forceout at third, Cookie Rojas singled to drive in one run. Hal McRae popped up, but John Mayberry walked to load the bases and Amos Otis singled to score the tying and winning runs. [The Sporting News]
