Brooks Robinson batted in four runs with a homer and sacrifice fly and Earl Williams accounted for two runs with a homer as the Orioles trounced the White Sox, 14-4. Boog Powell walked and Bobby Grich doubled ahead of Robinson's rap in the second inning. Mark Belanger walked, stole second and added another run on a single by Al Bumbry.

Dick Allen homered for the White Sox in the fourth, but Williams countered with his two-run blow in the Orioles' half. The Orioles iced the game with a seven-run outburst in the eighth inning. [The Sporting News]
