Bob Watson, who had hit into two double plays earlier in the game, singled off the glove of third baseman Mike Schmidt with the bases loaded in the tenth inning to plate the Astros' winning run in a 4-3 victory over the Phillies. Doug Rader drove in the Astros' first three markers with a single and homer. Greg Luzinski hit a two-run homer for the Phillies. In the tenth, a pass to Jimmy Stewart, one-out single by Roger Metzger and intentional pass to Jesus Alou loaded the bases before Watson came to bat. [The Sporting News]
