Formerly with the Expos, Carl Morton made his first start against his ex-teammates and received credit for the Braves' 3-2 victory thanks to a game-winning single by pinch-hitter Sonny Jackson. Davey Johnson homered for the Braves in the fifth, but the Expos took a 2-1 lead in their half on a bases-loaded single by Tim Foli. In the seventh, Johnson walked and scored the tying run on a triple by Mike Lum. After Dick Dietz walked, Jackson batted for Morton and drove in the deciding run. [The Sporting News]
