The Brewers reached the .500 mark with a 27-27 record by defeating the Angels, 8-6, for their eighth victory in the last nine games. Bob Coluccio provided the winning homer when the Brewers broke a 4-4 tie with four runs in the seventh inning. Dave May led off with a single and, after a sacrifice and an intentional pass, Ellie Rodriguez singled to score May. Coluccio followed with his three-run smash to beat Bill Singer.
