Don Wilson and Jim Ray combined on a six-hitter and pitched the Astros to a 6-1 victory over the Cubs. Wilson left the mound after seven innings because of a blistered finger. The Cubs scored their run off Ray in the eighth on a walk and two errors. Cesar Cedeno hit a two-run homer for the Astros in the third and Watson also drove in two runs with a pair of singles.
