Exactly one year after hitting a homer off Tom Seaver while with the Braves, Felix Millan turned around as a member of the Mets and homered in support of Seaver to help beat the Giants, 3-1. Millan's drive accounted for the first of two runs in the first inning. The other marker scored on a single by Rusty Staub and double by John Milner. Millan doubled in the eighth and subsequently counted the Mets' last run on a sacrifice fly by Milner. The Giants scored their only run in the ninth on a double by Dave Rader and single by Bobby Bonds.
