The Alou brothers, Matty and Felipe, combined for a run in the 10th inning to give the Yankees a 4-3 victory over the Angels. Mel Stottlemyre, who was the winner, beat the Angels for the 12th straight time since June 30, 1967, and for the 19th time in 22 career decisions.
