Grand-slam homers by Darrell Porter and Joe Lahoud in successive innings helped power the amazing Brewers to a 15-5 rout of the White Sox to extend their winning streak to nine games. Porter connected for his jackpot wallop off Stan Bahnsen in the second inning after a single by George Scott and passes to Johnny Briggs and Lahoud had loaded the bases.

Lahoud's slam came off Rich Gossage in the third when the Brewers added six more runs. Lahoud added a two-run homer in the sixth to tie the Brewers' club record with six RBIs in one game. [The Sporting News]
