Hank Aaron hit his 692nd career homer and also drove in another run with a single as the Braves defeated the Padres, 7-3. Aaron's homer came in the second inning off Randy Jones, who was making his first major league start for the Padres. Davey Johnson also homered for the Braves, connecting with two men on base in the eighth.
