Sparked by Don Money, who tripled with the bases loaded in the second inning, the Brewers defeated the Indians, 8-2, to end their four-game losing streak. Jim Colborn, after giving up two runs to the Indians in the first on a single by Buddy Bell, pass to Oscar Gamble and triple by Charlie Spikes, pitched scoreless ball the rest of the way to gain his fifth straight victory and 10th of the season. The Brewers pinned Mike Kekich with the defeat when Johnny Briggs walked, Bob Coluccio and Pedro Garcia singled and Money hit his triple. [The Sporting News]
