Ed Goodson drove in all of the Giants' runs with two homers to defeat the Astros, 5-1. Bobby Bonds was safe on an error in the first and Tito Fuentes singled, but the next batters went out before Goodson hammered a three-run homer. Lee May singled, hitting safely in his 21st straight game for a Houston club record, to help the Astros pick up their run in the second. Goodson iced the game with his second homer in the seventh, hitting it after a walk to Willie McCovey. [The Sporting News]
