The Tigers rallied for three runs in the eighth inning and defeated the Brewers, 8-6, for their fourth straight victory since clipping an eight-game losing streak. Former National Leaguer Bob Miller was the winner in relief in his first appearance with the Tigers. The Brewers, who had homers by Dave May and Ollie Brown, held a 6-5 lead before the Tigers began their rally with a single by Aurelio Rodriguez and two walks to load the bases with two out.
