The Orioles smashed four homers, including two by Earl Williams, to back up the pitching of Doyle Alexander in a 9-2 victory over the Tigers. Boog Powell hit for the circuit to account for two of the Orioles' three runs in the first inning. Williams homered in the fourth and Al Bumbry added a round-tripper with a man on base. Williams then hit his second drive with two aboard in the seventh, giving him 10 homers for the season, but these were his first two in games on the road. [The Sporting News]
