The six-hit pitching of Bob Moose, who retired 15 straight batters at one stretch of his performance, enabled the Pirates to defeat the Expos, 4-0. The Pirates staked Moose to a lead in the first inning with a run on a walk to Manny Sanguillen and a double by Willie Stargell.
