Two pinch-hitters, Beauchamp and Mays, came through to enable Mets to defeat Astros in 12 innings, 2-1. May homered for Astros' run in seventh. Beauchamp saved Mets from defeat, driving in tying run with single in ninth. Mays batted for Capra with one out in 12th and singled.
