Pinch-hitting, Kurt Bevacqua came through with the first grand-slam homer of his major league career to spark the Royals to a 13-6 victory over the Brewers. John Mayberry and Gail Hopkins singled and Ed Kirkpatrick walked to load the bases in the fifth inning before Bevacqua batted for Paul Schaal and connected for his homer off Jerry Bell.
