After pitching six hitless innings, Skip Lockwood tired in the seventh and Eduardo Rodriguez took over to complete the Brewers' 4-1 victory over the Rangers. Lockwood gave up a single to Rico Carty and walked Jeff Burroughs before being relieved. Rodriguez yielded a run on a single by Dick Billings, but checked the Rangers the rest of the way.
