Jim Palmer pitched his second one-hitter of the season to win the first game, 9-0, and the Orioles added a 5-2 victory in the second game to complete a sweep of a twi-night doubleheader with the Indians. George Hendrick singled in the eighth inning for the only hit off Palmer. Tommy Davis drove in five runs in Palmer's support with a double and two singles.

Charlie Spikes hit two homers for the Indians' runs in the nightcap before Andy Etchebarren put the Orioles ahead with a three-run double in the fourth inning. [The Sporting News]
