John Milner hit the first grand-slam homer of his major league career to climax a five-run outburst in the first inning as the Mets batted their way to an 11-3 victory over the Expos. Wayne Garrett led off with a double for the Mets, took third on a single by Felix Millan and scored when Rusty Staub was safe on an error by Ron Hunt.
