. . . where the 1970s live forever!

The White Sox unloaded four triples plus homers by Buddy Bradford and Ken Henderson and got steady hurling from Stan Bahnsen in a 9-1 victory over the Twins. The White Sox scored four times in the sixth to rout loser Jim Kaat. A walk to Pat Kelly, triple by Jerry Hairston, single by Bill Melton and Bradford's triple finished Kaat. Reliever Ray Corbin then wild-pitched Bradford home with the fourth run of the frame. Tony Oliva spoiled Bahnsen's shutout bid with a solo homer in the eighth, but the Chicago hurler finished with an eight-hit performance to claim his 14th victory. [The Sporting News]
