Frank Robinson smashed a homer and two singles and figured in four of the Angels' runs in a 5-3 victory over the Red Sox. Robinson hit his homer with a man on base in the first inning and drove in another run with a single in the seventh to tie the score at 3-3. Leroy Stanton tripled and Richie Scheinblum singled for the tie-breaking tally in the eighth. Robinson then singled and counted an insurance run on singles by Bob Oliver and Mike Epstein in the ninth. Orlando Cepeda hit a two-run homer and Dwight Evans added a solo drive for the Red Sox' scoring.
