. . . where the 1970s live forever!
A two-run homer by Tommy Helms in eighth inning povided the Astros with a 6-4 victory over the Cubs. Bob Watson drove in a pair of runs with two singles to pace the Astros to a 4-0 lead before the Cubs loaded the bases in the sixth and counted twice on a single by Pat Bourque after Jim Ray relieved J.R. Richard. The Cubs scored again on two walks and a single by Billy Williams in the seventh, but Helms' homer in the eighth was too much for the Cubs to overcome, although they added their final run off Ken Forsch in the ninth.
