. . . where the 1970s live forever!

Sparked by George Scott, who homered with a man on base, the Brewers scored five runs in the fourth inning and defeated the Twins, 5-1. Dave May doubled ahead of Scott's homer off Bill Campbell, who was making his first major league start. Two walks, a single by Tim Johnson, an error on a throw by Bobby Darwin and a wild pitch added three other runs.

The Twins scored off Skip Lockwood in the first on a double by Rod Carew and single by Tony Oliva. Lockwood pulled a muscle retiring the last batter in the third and Bill Champion pitched the rest of way to gain the victory. [The Sporting News]
