Tom Seaver drove in two runs with a double in the second inning to decide his own game as the Mets' ace righthander defeated the Giants, 7-1. Singles by Cleon Jones and Ted Martinez preceded Seaver's two-bagger. Wayne Garrett homered with two men on base in the fifth when the Mets added four more runs off Juan Marichal.
