Bob Locker, pitching in relief of Milt Pappas, walked Aaron and Dusty Baker with one out. Frank Tepedino drove in two runs with a double to tie the score at 2-2. Sonny Jackson singled to send the Braves ahead. Dick Dietz singled to kayo Locker.

Jack Aker relieved and failed to retire a batter. Ralph Garr doubled to drive in two runs and scored himself on a single by Mike Lum. After a pass to Darrell Evans, Aaron unloaded his three-run homer. [The Sporting News]
