A wild pitch by Aurelio Monteagudo with two out in the 11th inning allowed Mickey Stanley to score and handed the Tigers a 4-3 victory over the Angels. The Tigers' first three runs came on homers. Stanley and Tony Taylor connected in succession in the third and Frank Howard added a round-tripper in the eighth. After the Angels forced the game into overtime, Stanley singled in the 11th and took third on a single by Taylor before Monteagudo lost the game with his wild pitch. [The Sporting News]
