A single by Brooks Robinson for the 2,500th hit of his major league career helped the Orioles rally for three runs in the ninth to defeat the Twins, 4-3. A pass to Tommy Davis and singles by Boog Powell and Paul Blair produced the first run. Robinson's hit tied the score. After a sacrifice by Earl Williams and intentional pass to Bobby Grich, Blair scored the winning run, beating the throw home when Merv Rettenmund grounded to Dan Monzon. [The Sporting News]
