Atlanta's Dave Johnson became the major leagues' leading home run hitter, drilling a grand slam in leading the Braves to an 8-6 triumph over the Pittsburgh Pirates. Johnson, the Atlanta second baseman, hit his 36th homer in the fourth inning off loser Dock Ellis, (11-13). Wilver Stargell of the Pirates has 35 home runs. [ap]
