Sonny Siebert, making his N. L. debut with the Cardinals, pitched a four-hitter and shut out the Pirates, 8-0. Last year in 25 starts with the Rangers and two with the Red Sox, Siebert turned in only one complete game. The veteran righthander also joined in the Cardinals' attack with a two-run single.
