The Angels and White Sox played to a 4-4 tie in a game called after 10 innings because of heavy snow flurries and 37-degree temperature. Although the contest was to be replayed in its entirety at a later date, individual performances counted in the statistics.

The Angels, who had three hits apiece by Bobby Valentine and Leroy Stanton, failed to hold a 4-1 lead. The White Sox rallied for two runs in the eighth and tied the score in the ninth when Ken Henderson doubled and Carlos May singled for his third hit of the game. [The Sporting News]
