Two runs that scored on wild pitches helped the Orioles defeat the Brewers, 5-3. After taking a 2-0 lead in the third inning, the Orioles loaded the bases in the fourth when Boog Powell and Don Baylor singled and Earl Williams walked. Jim Slaton then uncorked two wild pitches, allowing Powell and Baylor to score. Williams followed across the plate on a sacrifice fly by Mark Belanger. The Brewers' only scoring foray produced three runs in the fifth on singles by Robin Yount and Ken Berry, doubles by Don Money and Dave May and a sacrifice fly by George Scott. [The Sporting News]
