Although only 18 years old, Robin Yount showed a veteran's coolness when the Brewers' rookie shortstop atoned for his error by hitting a homer in the eighth inning to defeat the Orioles, 3-2. Pedro Garcia batted in the Brewers' first two runs with a single in the seventh, but Paul Blair opened the eighth with a homer for the Orioles for only their second hit off Kevin Kobel, 20-year-old lefthander. Eduardo Rodriguez relieved and the Orioles then tied the score on a single by Mike Reinbach, a sacrifice, infield out and Yount's error on a grounder by Bobby Grich. [The Sporting News]
